I would like to thank Phoenix for inviting me on to the team as a new administrator. I'm sure you would all like to know what this means for the site and our community.
My responsibilities include a multitude of things, including:
- Overseeing applications of the newcomers
- Organizing game nights
- Ensuring that all of the correct forum rules are followed
- Making sure that posts stay on topic
...and many more things.
As you know, being a forum administrator is an often thankless and difficult job. Luckily, I have much experience in this regard. Not only am I an established and trusted member of this community, but I also have a wealth of administration and moderation experience from other communities (such as in the EVA Online Discord and on xyzzy.link).
I will begin my term as admin by making some changes in this community.
Here are a few projects that I'd like to tackle initially:
- Revamping the forum rules to make sure everyone knows how to play fair
- Requiring a stricter verification and vetting process for the new users
- Advertising the forum to other parts of the net to grow the community further
Well, I think that's all from me for now. Hopefully you'll all see the fruits of my labor soon and enjoy the new direction things are going!
Do not worry, the forum and community you know and love is not going anywhere, and I can promise that I'll do my best to make sure you all enjoy your time even more here
